The new Wonder Woman is being screened for the media - and it's thrilling those who have seen it early.
Newshub's Kate Rodger has just seen the film in Los Angeles, and says she was more than just relieved.
"I really, really did not want this DC film to suck. I am really, really happy to report it does not," she reports.
Rodger was permitted to tweet her initial reaction to the film, with a full review being under the same international embargo restrictions as her media colleagues.
"GalGadot is the #WonderWoman we've been waiting for, Chris Pine icing on the cake," she tweeted.
Wonder Woman is the first of the current DC superhero universe films to star a woman in the lead role, and it's been a long time coming.
"Welcome to the dawn of a new day where DC makes a good film which just happens to be a female-led superhero film," Rodger says.
Rodger is not the only critic praising the film - it's getting almost overwhelmingly positive initial reactions.
Wonder Woman is released in New Zealand on June 1.
