The first trailer for Ryan Coogler's Black Panther has been released, giving Marvel fans an amazing glimpse inside the fictional African nation of Wakanda.

The titular character is played by Chadwick Boseman and was introduced in Captain America: Civil War.

Black Panther, aka T'Challa, returns to Wakanda in the film to take the throne as king, following the death of his father. However, the reappearance of an old enemy puts T'Challa in jeopardy and he is thrust into a conflict that puts his home and the entire world at risk.

Alongside Boseman, Black Panther stars Michael B Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett and Forest Whitaker.

Andy Serkis also reprises his role as Ulysses Klaw from Avengers: Age of Ultron, and is featured prominently in the trailer, which debuted on US TV during the NBA finals.

Black Panther is set for release in February, 2018.
