Sweet!

Candy Crush, the TV show adapted from the mobile game, is a hit after premiering on CBS in the US.

Hosted by Mario Lopez, the colourful, high-energy game show earned 4.1 million viewers for its first episode, according to reports.

Executive produced by the guy behind Wipeout and Fear Factor, the show has teams of two people pitted in a battle of wits and physical agility for the weekly US$100,000 prize.

Two specially designed video walls, each made up of 55 monitors and measuring more than 6m x 7m, are arranged along the floor and up the wall.

Players in safety harnesses scoot across and up and down the screens, making candy matches by swiping squares in a similar way to how players do on the mobile game.

Nearly 200 billion game rounds were played in Candy Crush Saga last year, according to King, its producer.

Many of those rounds were played in New Zealand - although no local network has announced plans to bring the TV show here yet.
