Mike McRoberts has told Woman's Day he's moved on from losing his co-presenter Hilary Barry last year and is very happy with his new 'work wife', Samantha Hayes.
Barry, formerly one of MediaWorks' most high-profile TV personalities, quit the company in 2016, before taking up a prominent position at rival TVNZ after reading the news alongside McRoberts for 11 years.
"I still catch up with Hilary and I'm sure we'll be mates forever, but I've moved on. Everything's good," McRoberts told Woman's Day.
Now a year into his Newshub 6pm co-presenting partnership with Hayes, McRoberts says things are going great.
"My second marriage is going very well indeed."
Last month, McRoberts completed the Christchurch Marathon in three hours, 53 minutes and 34 seconds - almost 25 minutes quicker his previous best.
