Pop star Taylor Swift will come face-to-face in court with a man she accuses of unwantedly "grabbing [her] bare ass".

The 'Love Story' hitmaker will give evidence against radio host David Mueller, who allegedly groped her at a 2013 pre-concert meet-and-greet while their photo was being taken.

Swift didn't press charges, but the Colorado-based broadcaster lost his job over her allegation, so he sued her.

TMZ has acquired and published the photo taken during the incident.

The Denver Post claims to have viewed pre-trial documents about the case, which was filed at the US District Court in Denver by three of Swift's lawyers.

"Ms Swift... will testify at trial, that [radio talk show host David] Mueller 'put his hand under [her] dress and grabbed [her] bare ass,'" the motion reads.

This is very similar to what Swift said in her deposition that was made public last November: "He reached up under my skirt and grabbed my ass right when I was having to pose for a photo, and it felt intentional that would be the time he would choose to do it."

The court case is set to begin on August 7.
