Alanis Morissette will perform three shows in New Zealand next year, her first time here since 1998.

The 'You Oughta Know' hitmaker will tour in January with 'Bad to the Bone' singer George Thorogood and Men At Work frontman Colin Hay.

Tickets to the shows will cost only $99, and kids 14 and under will get in free with an accompanying adult. Fans will also be allowed to bring their own food and drink.

Morissette has a good track record for giving Kiwi fans value for money - her last gig here in November 1998 was a free concert in Aotea Square attended by around 15,000 people.
