Game of Thrones S07E04: Fans turn on Bronn after dragon attack

Jerome Flynn, the actor who portrays Bronn in Game of Thrones, says he's been turned on by fans after what his character did in the latest episode.

In an interview, the 54-year-old says even his postman won't speak with him after what happened.

Spoilers for Game of Thrones S07E04 follow.

In the episode, entitled The Spoils of War, Bronn is among the Lannister forces as they're attacked by Daenerys Targaryen and her Dothraki horde.

The Khaleesi rides her largest dragon, Drogon, in the battle - who Bronn shoots down with a well-aimed spear fired from a Scorpion, or giant crossbow.

"I was surprised when I was watching it. I spent weeks on that sequence, but I was on the edge of my seat, the adrenaline was running - they really nailed it," Flynn tells Mashable.com.

"Although since the day the battle aired, I've been a little unpopular, I have to say. My postman won't speak to me because I shot the dragon."

He added that the Scorpion he fired was real - and super fun to play with.

"Yes, I shot that thing, so it was real. It was all part of the sequence and training. The armorers on this show are just geniuses, and they try to make everything as authentic as possible. It's probably the coolest weapon I'm going to get to play with."

Bronn and Drogon can be next seen when Game of Thrones returns to New Zealand screens on August 14.
