'It was a definite grab' - Taylor Swift takes the stand in groping trial

Taylor Swift has taken the witness stand in her lawsuit claiming she was groped by a radio host.

Swift testified that "it was a definite grab. A very long grab," and that David Mueller put his hand up her skirt to do it.

Mr Mueller sued Swift and others on her team, claiming they cost him his job and is seeking up to US$3 million in damages. Swift countersued, alleging sexual assault, and is asking for a symbolic US$1 judgment.

Appearing in a Denver courtroom, Swift called the June 2013 "horrifying".

"There was no jostling, he did not touch my hand, my ribs - he just grabbed my bare ass."

The incident was caught on camera, Mr Mueller's hand clearly behind Swift's "ass". She says she tried to get away quietly, but he wouldn't let go.

"He stayed latched onto my bare ass cheek. The first few milliseconds I thought it was a mistake, but his hand would not let go."

Mr Mueller's attorney asked her why, in the photo, her dress isn't ruffled.

"Because my ass is located on the back of my body," Swift replied.

Mr Mueller denies the accusation, and says he can't get work now. Swift says he's just after fame and money.
