A dog is Captain America's best friend.
Actor Chris Evans has sent the internet into an emotional frenzy after posting a video of an adorable reunion with his rescue dog.
Evan adopted the dog named Dodger in April last year while filming his movie Gifted, but has been separated from him for several months while filming a new movie.
On Sunday, the 36-year-old actor posted a video of the emotional reunion on Twitter, with the caption "After 10 long weeks..."
He's kept fans up to date on the countdown to the reunion through social media.
"One of the last scenes we were filming was in a pound, a kennel," Evans told People magazine last year.
"I foolishly walked in and I thought, 'Are these actor dogs or are these real up for adoption dogs?' And sure enough they were, so I was walking up and down the aisles and saw this one dude and he didn't belong there. I snagged him and he's such a good dog. They aged him at about one, he acts like a puppy, he's got the energy of a puppy, he's just such a sweetheart, he's such a good boy. He loves dogs, he loves kids, he's full of love."
