A new trailer for upcoming Netflix series The Punisher has been released announcing the release date as November 17.
The Marvel Comics adaptation will follow war veteran Frank Castle as he embarks on a bloodthirsty quest for revenge over the murder of his family.
The trailer, set to a remix of Metallica's thrash metal classic 'One', makes it clear the series will have a more serious tone than most Marvel adaptations.
Following the real-life Las Vegas massacre in which Stephen Paddock shot dead 59 people earlier this month, Netflix reportedly postponed the premiere, after purposefully obscuring the release date on previous posters and advertising.
The Punisher stars Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead, Fury) as Frank Castle. He follows in the footsteps of big screen versions portrayed by Dolph Lundgren in 1989, Thomas Jane in 2004 and Ray Stevenson in 2008.
Netflix will release all 13 episodes of the new series at once when it premieres.
