The explosive second trailer for Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi has finally been released and it fully reveals Supreme Leader Snoke on-screen for the first time.

Debuted during a sports broadcast in the US, the video also teases what may be Kylo Ren killing his mother Princess Leia and ends with Rey potentially joining the Dark Side.

"When I found you, I saw raw, untamed power. And beyond that, something truly special," Luke Skywalker tells Rey in the trailer.
"I've seen this raw strength only once before. It didn't scare me enough then. It does now."
Various other tidbits of plot are revealed in the clip - so much so that director Rian Johnson warned spoiler-averse fans to "absolutely avoid it".
A new poster for the film has also been released.
Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi will be in New Zealand cinemas on December 14.
