Movie mogul Brett Ratner is the latest to stand accused of sexual misconduct by multiple people.

In recent weeks, a spate of Hollywood heavyweights have been accused of misconduct, beginning with allegations against Harvey Weinstein and more recently including House of Cards actor Kevin Spacey.

Rush Hour director Ratner is the latest to join the list, with the Los Angeles Times reporting that six women - including actresses Olivia Munn and Natasha Henstridge - are accusing him of sexual harassment or misconduct.

Whole Nine Yards actress Henstridge told the LA Times that Ratner, 48, forced her to perform oral sex on him during an incident in his New York apartment in the early 1990s when she was a 19-year-old model.

X-Men: Apocalypse star Munn also shared an alleged incident with Ratner early in her career, saying the director masturbated in front of her when she delivered him a meal in his trailer on the set of After the Sunset in 2004.

The director is also said to have falsely boasted to have dated Munn and "banged her a few times". He later admitted on The Howard Stern Radio Show those claims were untrue.

"I've made specific, conscientious choices not to work with Brett Ratner," Munn told the LA Times.

"It feels as if I keep going up against the same bully at school who just won't quit."

"You just hope that enough people believe the truth and for enough time to pass so that you can't be connected to him anymore."

The LA Times reported four other women - actresses Jaime Ray Newman, Katharine Towne, Jorina King and model Eri Sasaki - also detailed alleged encounters with Ratner involving sexual harassment.

Ratner was set to direct the new Playboy-funded Hugh Hefner biopic starring Jared Leto, but the company has reportedly decided to stall the project in light of the allegations

"We are deeply troubled to learn about the accusations against Brett Ratner. We find this kind of behaviour completely unacceptable," a Playboy spokesperson said in a statement.

"We are putting all further development of our projects with [Ratner's company] RatPac Entertainment on hold until we are able to review the situation further."
