Actress Portia de Rossi says Steven Seagal sexually harassed her during a private audition by unzipping his pants and saying they needed "off-screen chemistry".

The wife of Ellen DeGeneres made the accusation on Twitter and is the latest in a string of women to allege sexual misconduct from the Hard to Kill star.

"My final audition for a Steven Seagal movie took place in his office," says de Rossi.

"He told me how important it was to have chemistry off-screen as he sat me down and unzipped his leather pants. I ran out and called my agent. Unfazed, she replied, 'Well, I didn't know if he was your type'."

In recent weeks, Julianna Margulies has said she was cornered at gunpoint in a hotel room by Seagal, and Lisa Guerrero alleged he invited her to his home for a 'private audition' before answering the door in a silk robe.

These are the latest sexual misconduct allegations made about the former action icon, with other accusers including Katherine Heigl, Rae Dawn Chong and Jenny McCarthy.

Seagal is just one of a number of entertainment figures - including Kevin Spacey, Charlie Sheen and Brett Ratner - who have been accused of sexual misbehaviour following the Harvey Weinstein scandal that rocked Hollywood.
