Just hours after the sudden death of Cranberries singer Dolores O'Riordan, she was honoured in a moving concert tribute from the likes of Bono, Sinead O'Connor, Nick Cave and Johnny Depp.

The musicians were performing at the National Concert Hall in Dublin, Ireland, in celebration of The Pogues frontman Shane MacGowan's 60th birthday.

Bono ended his cover of The Pogues' 'A Rainy Night in Soho' by repeating the line "Let it linger", taken from The Cranberries' hit. Depp was accompanying the performance on guitar.

Irish President Michael Higgins attended the concert and told the audience O'Riordan would "be really missed" as "a true great".

A later performance of MacGowan's 'The Broad Majestic Shannon' was reportedly dedicated to O'Riordan, too.

O'Riordan's body was found in a London hotel on Monday (local time). She was 46.

While no cause of death has yet been given, police have confirmed it was "not being treated as suspicious".
