A Game of Thrones-themed hotel made completely of ice has opened in Finland.

The Lapland Hotel and Snow Village this year has been fully decorated to feature all the hallmarks of the hit HBO series, including a life-sized ice version of the Iron Throne, a Braavosi Hall of Faces, a white walker with glowing blue eyes and even an ice dragon.

Couples can get married in an ice chapel - hopefully resulting in more successful nuptials than the Red Wedding.

The Game of Thrones-themed rooms were designed by sculptors from Russia, Poland, Latvia and Ukraine. The hotel's website claims around 20 million kgs of snow and 350,000 kgs of ice were used to construct the 20,000 square meter village which the hotel sits in.

Two people can stay in the Snow Suite for €352  (NZD$585) per night, or they can stay in a standard room for €264 ( NZD$3438).

Each room comes with 'high-quality sleeping bags' to try and keep guests warm.
