YouTube has suspended ads on Logan Paul's channel as controversy builds surrounding his latest video showing him using a taser on two dead rats.

Paul has caused several significant controversies on YouTube since early 2018, when he published a video showing a dead body in the Aokigahara suicide forest in Japan.

Following severe backlash from the public he took a break from YouTube, before returning with an anti-suicide video titled "Suicide: Be Here Tomorrow".

However he was soon back to his old tricks, posting a tweet mocking the dangerous Tide Pod challenge and saying he would swallow one tide laundry detergent pod per retweet.

The latest controversy surrounding the rats has prompted more outcry from the public accusing Paul of disrespecting dead bodies.

In the video Paul proclaimed "No rat comes into my house without getting tased!" and then sent 50,000 volts of electricity into the deceased animal.

In a curt statement posted to Twitter on Saturday morning YouTube said due to his actions ads would be temporarily removed from the Logan Paul channels.

"In response to Logan Paul's recent pattern of behavior, we've temporarily suspended ads on his channels," the tweet said.
