Actors Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro recreated their classic comedy Meet the Parents on the latest Saturday Night Live (SNL) to mock Donald Trump and his embattled lawyer, Michael Cohen.

The skit featured some particularly brutal insults, including joking the code name for the current US President is "Putin's little bitch" and his daughter Ivanka's is "girlfriend".

Stiller played Cohen in the video, while De Niro portrayed Robert Mueller, who is the special counsel overseeing the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 US presidential election and related matters.

In the SNL skit, De Niro's Mueller hooks Stiller's Cohen up to a lie detector test before asking him a series of questions.

"I'll start with some easier questions - how'd you like that peepee tape?" he starts.

"I'm just kidding, we'll get to that later."

Later in the video, De Niro's Mueller lists some of the investigations code names, saying Trump's had changed from "Putin's little bitch" to "Stormy's little bitch'.

He also said Jared Kushner was code named "other girlfriend", while Cohen himself was referred to as "dead man walking".

The clip ended with De Niro's Mueller saying: "You broke the law, and now we're going to catch all you little Fockers!"

Last week, the FBI raided Cohen's office after obtaining a search warrant from Mueller, which infuriated Trump and some right-wing broadcasters.
