The 'Baby' singer yelled at the man to let the woman go after he grabbed her throat, and struck him when did not, reports TMZ.
Bieber's vehicle was then allegedly attacked by the man as it left, with the report claiming he screamed the pop star's name while hitting the vehicle.
Police reportedly arrested the man, who was apparently on drugs and angry at his alleged victim, who was his ex.
Patrick Schwarzenneger, son of Arnold and star of Grown Ups 2, was hosting the party.
Bieber has been spotted in several photos taken at the 2018 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and posted online.
