Naz 'literally dead' from sickness ahead of second Dancing with the Stars performance

Dancing with the Stars NZ is only a week in, but contestant Naz Khanjani is already struggling.

The ex-Bachelorette took to Instagram on Thursday to update fans on her health.

"I am extremely sick; I don't even know where it came from," she vented.

"I had to leave my dance rehearsals early tonight as well, because my brain just could not function. It was so heavy."

With the next DWTS show looming this Sunday, the pressure is on for a speedy recovery.

"I am really worried because I need to be learning my second week dance, and it's going to be a big challenge for me this week," she worried.

"I am going to do my best to get better, but whenever I am sick I'm literally dead for like, at least two weeks."

Khanjani said her kitchen is stocked with lemon, honey, garlic and ginger in an attempt to stop the virus in its tracks. The Bachelor runner-up was concerned that if her illness persisted, it might mean she would need to put a hold on rehearsals.

"I guess I can just take each day as it comes. The worst part is, I literally have no time to rest. I might actually have to take a day or two off rehearsals if I'm not getting any better."

The next episode of DWTS NZ will air 7pm, Sunday on Three. Previous episodes are viewable on ThreeNow.
