Inside the extravagant superyacht docked in Tauranga

A 74-metre superyacht worth up to $54 million is currently moored up in Tauranga - and a look at its lavish interior shows it spares no expense.

A tour video from 2016, when the PLVS VLTRA model was released by Dutch shipbuilders Amels, shows the boat's massive living quarters, which include a bar, hot tub and gym.

Marble stairs circle around a chandelier, and a massive master bedroom overlooks the view of the ocean, atop a three-layer deck.

According to Boat International PLVS VLTRA also includes jetskis, a limited edition Parallele piano, a movie theatre and a helipad.

It is not clear who owns the yacht currently visiting New Zealand, however GoPro founder Nick Woodman is reported to have ordered one of the yachts in 2015, to be delivered in 2017.
