As the global drone industry soars to great heights, Kiwi firms are taking advantage, and one area they've got their sights set on is Hollywood.

Raglan-based company Aeronavics is a one-stop-shop for unmanned aerial vehicles.

It was one of the first drone makers to receive permission to fly in the US, when drone rules there were relaxed. It's now a firm favourite in Hollywood.

Aeronavics will be launching more specialist craft this year for cinema, broadcasting and live sport. It will take advantage of the rapidly growing global drone industry, expected to rise from $9 billion last year to a predicted $135b by 2024.
