A 17-year-old has admitted to beating and raping a pregnant woman along the Hutt riverbank near Melling.
The 30-year-old woman was grabbed from behind at knife point, dragged into the bushes and sexually assaulted in June.
Bailey Meredith has this morning pleaded guilty to rape and detaining the woman without her consent to have sex at the Hutt Valley District Court.
He'll be sentenced next month.
