Armed police have converged on a house in the seaside suburb of New Brighton.
Mark Yellowlees lives nearby on Union St.
"I was just going for a walk up to the shop and then on the way back I was seeing about 10 cop cars slide past me," he says. "Obviously knew that they were looking for someone. I got back, went outside and had a look out over my fence and the street's been blocked off, same with my mate's house, and they're pretty much right next door to where he lives."
Another resident says police have been ordering someone to leave a house and have blocked off neighbouring streets.
Police are refusing to comment.
