Major delays are expected in west Auckland this morning after a crash closed a busy intersection.
A car speeding down Don Buck Rd smashed into a power pole near the Swanson Rd roundabout at 3am.
Inspector Cornell Kluessien says it's too early to say what caused the accident, but speed may have been a factor.
"Just after three o'clock a car coming down off Don Buck Rd at high speed lost control, smashed into a power pole by the roundabout with Swanson Rd," he told RadioLIVE.
Police say diversions are in place.
