Fog restrictions have been lifted at Auckland Airport after dense fog covered the city this morning.
The fog caused 32 domestic flights to be cancelled and 16 to be delayed.
Most international flights escaped the effects of the fog, except for three.
Virgin Airlines flight VA172 from Rarotonga was diverted to Christchurch Airport and another, flight VA149, was forced to depart late thanks to the fog.
China Southern flight CZ335 arrived late.
Passengers are being advised to check Auckland Airport's website or iPhone app for the latest flight information.
