An Auckland couple on the run from police have finally been arrested in Paeroa.
Tamzen Bush and Brandon Wong were wanted for a number of thefts, trespassing and receiving stolen property across Auckland.
An arrest warrant was issued for Wong in July and one for Bush earlier this month.
Yesterday, a member of the public called police over suspicious behaviour seen in a car park around 1pm.
Police then discovered the couple in a silver Jeep Cherokee allegedly stolen from Ohope the previous night.
The couple gave police fake names but officers suspected their real identities and the pair was arrested without incident.
They will be interviewed in Hamilton by officers from Waitemata police and are expected to appear in Hamilton District Court this afternoon.
The have each been charged with six counts of burglary, theft, failing to stop for police and attempting to unlawfully take a motor vehicle.
Wong has also been charged with four counts of theft ex car and unlawfully using a document.
