Wealthy migrants urged to invest in local start-ups

There are calls for wealthy migrants to be forced to invest in emerging businesses.

Most migrants put their cash in the bank or in bonds, but one group says New Zealand should follow other countries and get them to invest in local start-ups with high-growth potential.

Not everyone agrees it's a good idea though, warning the rule could scare some would-be migrants off moving to New Zealand.
