A Christchurch teenager accused of killing an 87-year-old man can now be named.
Seventeen-year-old Taniela Waitokia is charged with murdering Harold Richardson, who was found dead in his Upper Riccarton home in August.
Waitokia was 16 years old at the time of his arrest. He appeared in Christchurch High Court this morning where his lawyer did not apply for continued name suppression.
A tentative trial date was set for August next year.
