A cyclist has been killed this morning after a crash on Evans Pass Rd in Canterbury.
The man, believed to be in his 50s, died at the scene.
"Police investigations are ongoing but witnesses report seeing the man travelling downhill prior to the crash," says Acting Senior Sergeant Jim Currie." Police have a number of witnesses to talk to and it is too early to say whether any other vehicle was involved in the incident."
Evans Pass Rd will remain closed between Ocean View Tce and Summit Rd while an investigation is carried out.
It is hoped the road will be reopened around 2pm.
