A scene examination today confirmed the death of a 64-year-old Christchurch man is not suspicious.
Robert Varley was found dead at his home in the suburb of Linwood on Sunday. His death was originally treated as suspicious by police, who had fifteen staff investigating.
The matter has been referred to the Coroner.
