A man has died after slipping on ice near the Treble Cone ski field in the South Island.
The 22-year-old slipped shortly after 1pm.
Police and Alpine Cliff Rescue attended the incident, and found the man around an hour later.
His family are being advised.
The man's death has been referred to the coroner.
