Accused Otago University exam thief has case adjourned

The 23-year-old woman accused of stealing exam papers from the University of Otago has had her case adjourned until December 1.

The woman is accused of breaking into the campus' Clocktower building and stealing 98 unmarked exams on Saturday November 7. She was arrested last Wednesday.

Interim name suppression has been granted as well as suppression of any details that could identify her.

The exams were found near Otago Harbour, wet and torn up, University of Otago Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Squire said.

They covered a range of subjects including dentistry, politics and microbiology.
