A Dunedin man who disappeared in the lead-up to Christmas is still missing after several failed search and rescue attempts.
Stephen Gourlay, 52, was last seen on December 20 when he was dropped off on Kaikorai Valley Road and began walking south wearing a black hoody, blue shorts and brown work boots.
His family have not heard from him since, which they say is out of character.
Family and friends, along with police and land search and rescue volunteers have carried out searches in places of interest.
He is around 175cm tall, thin and often travels in the lower South Island as well as Central Otago and Waitaki Lakes area.
