The death of a woman hit by a train in Henderson yesterday afternoon will be referred to the Coroner.
The 46-year-old woman was struck by a train near Great North Rd in Henderson.
Police say the woman had discharged herself from the Waitakere Hospital emergency department shortly before the incident happened.
Police are investigating the circumstances that led up to the event, which will be passed on to the Coroner.
