A young man has been charged with the murder of a Dunedin woman.
The 20-year-old was arrested and charged by local police following a week-long investigation of the discovery of Karin Ann Ross' body at a Strathallan Street address in Dunedin on December 2.
The victim and her alleged killer knew one another, police say.
It caps a worrying fortnight for locals with two assaults – one on a cyclist on Saturday and another on a jogger at Ross Creek on Monday – following the homicide in quick succession.
The man will appear in Dunedin District Court tomorrow.
