A motorcycle carrying two people has collided with a car on State Highway 2 near Mangatawhiri.
Both of the motorcyclists were injured, but it's believed the single occupant of the car was not. The two riders are being treated by ambulance.
The scene has been cleared and the road has been re-opened, but it will take some time for the backlog to clear.
Police are advising members of the public there will be delays and to avoid the area if possible.
