The sun will be shining on much of New Zealand come Christmas with the weather set to get better as festivities continue into the day.
While parts of the North Island, including Auckland and the West Coast, will receive a smattering of rain, the weather will improve on Christmas Day, according to the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research.
Showers and cloud will stick around in the morning.
No such worries on the South Island though, with locals set to enjoy sunshine with warm temperatures throughout Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day.
The best weather will arrive in New Zealand on Boxing Day, bringing plenty of opportunities for Kiwis to get out and enjoy their Christmas gifts over the weekend.
