A manhunt is underway for a violent and unpredictable patched member of the Nomad gang after he allegedly attacked a man at a Masterton house.
An arrest warrant has been sought for Peter Douglas Tapine after he caused facial injuries to a man at a Masterton house during an alleged assault on December 15.
The warrant has been issued for offences of injuring with intent to injure and threatening to kill.
Police have searched a number of properties in Masterton and Lower Hutt to find Tapine, who has links to the Wairarapa and Wellington areas.
Tapine is described as violent and unpredictable, police say, and has been known to possess guns in the past so the public should not approach him if seen.
He is aware that is being sought by police and is actively avoiding arrest.
