Two people have been arrested and ten people hospitalised, four of them children, following a raid on a suspected P-lab in Hawkes Bay.
Nine have been discharged, but a four-month-old baby remains in hospital in a stable condition.
Two Child, Youth and Family social workers alerted emergency services when they became ill after visiting the Taradale property.
Police searched the house last night and found a number of items of interest, but didn’t see a lab in operation.
The Fire Service was called to decontaminate emergency services staff, the house occupants and the children, who were taken into CYF care overnight.
The Elliott St house was cordoned off overnight and police have resumed their examination this morning.
