Five teenagers arrested following allegations of sexual offending involving students at Opotiki College have appeared in court.
The young men, aged between 18 and 19, are each charged with unlawful sexual conduct with girls aged under 16.
One of them is facing two charges.
The offending is alleged to have taken place between February and September this year.
The five were granted name suppression at their appearance in the Opotiki District Court today.
They were remanded on bail to reappear on December 17.
When police announced their arrests on Tuesday they said the group had links to the Opotiki College, but there was no information to suggest any of the alleged offending happened on school grounds.
