Two people have become 2016's first Lotto millionaires, walking away with prizes of $1 million and $7.5 million this week.
One Lotto player was from New Plymouth, and they walked away with Lotto's $1 million Triple Dip Christmas promotion, while another winner in Lower Hutt took home $7.5 million on Wednesday.
Nobody nabbed the Powerball or Strike in last night's draw, meaning that Wednesday will hold a combined prize pool of $6.2 million according to the New Zealand Herald.
