AirAsia X will be returning to New Zealand skies this year and has introduced special $99 introductory price on the new Gold Coast to Auckland service.
The company made the announcement late today, although its website already allows customers to choose Auckland International Airport as a destination.
Flights will go on sale from tomorrow at the special price until January 24, though they're expected to sell out well before that.
The first flight will take place from Auckland on March 22.
It isn't the airline's first foray into New Zealand however.
An 11-hour AirAsia X route between Kuala Lumpur and Christchurch was axed in 2012 because of a lack of interest. It had been running for about a year.
Earlier this week, the company was teasing its new destination with a number of tweets, including ones with pictures of sheep, bungy jumping and a kiwi with drawn-on sunglasses.
