Man kidnapped, robbed in Christchurch

Police are investigating after a man was allegedly the victim of an aggravated robbery and kidnapping in Christchurch this morning.

Police say two offenders confronted the man at his address at around 5am carrying two weapons, and then forced him to take his vehicle to two ATMs and a petrol station.

The man then escaped and has been treated in Christchurch Hospital for minor stab wounds. He is expected to be discharged later today.

Police are now appealing for sightings of the silver 1989 Jaguar Sovereign, which has the number plate GAN945.
