Astrolabe Reef to re-open to public

Astrolabe Reef to re-open to public

It's been four and a half years since the Rena ran aground near Tauranga.

The Astrolabe Reef has been closed off from the public ever since, and tomorrow a decision will be announced about whether the remains of the wrecked ship will be allowed to stay where they are.

A second announcement is also due soon, and it's one that's exciting the diving public -- soon, the reef and its treasures will be declared open for business again.

Ahead of the announcements, Story takes you underwater to show you the remains of the Rena, how the reef has bounced back and what you've been missing.
