Police have confirmed the names of two men killed in a head-on crash near Hamilton.
Auckland man Graham Hare, 64, and Hamilton teen Michael Mills, 17, were killed in a collision between their two cars on Horotiu Rd, Te Kowhai on Friday night.
Mr Hare's partner Rose Wall, who is the deputy health and disability commissioner, is in a stable but serious condition in Waikato Hospital, Fairfax Media reported.
Waikato Road Policing manager Freda Grace says more than two groups of family, friends, colleagues and communities had been affected by the crash.
"While there is often commentary of the costs in terms of dollars, there is no dollar value that can count the emotional costs," she said.
