Police are asking for information that can help them find the owner of a kayak found in the water off an Auckland beach this morning.
The red kayak was found about 300 metres offshore from Musik Point in Bucklands Beach.
It had a fishing rod and an anchor with it.
The police launch Deodar and the Eagle helicopter were searching the harbour earlier, and police are now conducting shoreline searches.
Anyone with information about the owner of the kayak should call Counties Manukau police on (09) 263 2709 or the police maritime unit on 021 191 3131.
