Blind Boy Paxton: Blues music staunchest champion

He's black, legally blind and weighs 300 pounds.

You could say Jerron 'Blind Boy' Paxton was born to play the blues.

But Jerron is different; he's not completely blind, he's an orthodox Jew, he was born in an area better known for its gangster rap and he barely plays any music from the last century.

The fiddle, banjo, bluegrass, folk and country; he's got a catalogue of 3000 songs in his head and he doesn't play any modern music.

His grandmother was an enormous influence and she died over a decade ago. For him, singing and playing is much about keeping a culture alive as it is putting on a great show.
