Charges involving drugs, weapons and dangerous driving have been laid against four Christchurch locals allegedly involved in an armed home invasion at Springston on Sunday.
Katherine Pamela Allison, 20, Joshua James Watkinson, 21, Paratene Forreste Guy Aupouri Coleman, 26 and Douglas Anaru Lockley, 21, appeared in the Christchurch District Court this morning on a joint charge of aggravated robbery.
Police claim they worked together to steal a vehicle, cell phones and electrical items from four people in Springston while being armed with a pistol, knife and metal bar.
Police say the victims were held at the rural property before officers arrived and a high speed chase began. It ended soon afterwards in Rolleston when police dogs were used in two arrests. Another two people were arrested at a rural property in Dunsandel.
Allison faces four other charges, including the possession of methamphetamine and a methamphetamine pipe, dangerous driving and failing to stop for police.
Watkinson faces another three counts including dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and failing to stop for police.
All four were remanded in custody without plea and will reappear on April 6.
