Court documents dating back to December last year show that Thai woman Jindarat Prutisiriporn had allegedly been caught with drugs twice in just over a month.

Ms Prutisiriporn, 50, was seen escaping from a car boot in Papatoetoe bound and gagged last Tuesday before she died in hospital from her injuries.

Newshub has obtained charging documents from Auckland District Court, which show Ms Prutisiriporn was charged with possessing a glass pipe and methamphetamine last December.

The document shows she was a waiter at the time and was remanded on bail in the south Auckland suburb of Manurewa.

And in January this year Ms Prutisiriporn was then charged with possessing cannabis, and this time was bailed to a flat in Waterview.

Police say they are investigating links to organised crime over her death.
