Police are at the scene of a death at Kennedy Bay on the Coromandel Peninsula where a man’s body was found inside a house.
It’s the latest in a string of police call outs in the small township.
On Sunday the Armed Offenders Squad were called out after gunshots were heard in the area, and in February a dispute involving firearms resulted in the town being cordoned off while armed police set up check points on roads in and out of the bay.
Police won’t comment if there is a link between those incidents and the man’s death.
The man appears to have died some days ago.
